Our expert team designed a temporary shoring system consisting of soldier piles, timber lagging and tieback anchors to support existing active passenger/freight railroad traffic during construction of a replacement bridge. We encountered many obstacles during the design and construction of this temporary shoring project. Challenges experienced during this bridge shoring project included implementing specific railroad design/loading requirements, employee background checks for base access, railroad specific training for all employees, limited working windows due to active railroad traffic, unforeseen soil conditions and buried debris from the original bridge construction. Our experienced staff overcame all these obstacles and completed another successful solder pile shoring project while adding another satisfied client to our list.
